SSCC FAMILY  
  • Support Groups – Counseling and support are offered for individuals and families newly arrived from the war-torn regions of South Sudan. 
  • Parent Volunteer Opportunities – Parents can volunteer to assist tutors and other instructors at the SSCC After-School Program.
  • Health Education – The SSCC provides information on health issues, such as children’s nutrition, immunizations, and tobacco health-risks.
  • Housing Services Referrals – Refugee families can receive referrals to Housing Assistance from the SSCC.
  • Education — English as a Second Language, (ESL), instruction is available for all ages.


  • OTHER SUPPORT OFFERED BY SSCC
  • Translation and Interpretation – Language assistance is available for Nuer, Dinka, Bari, Nubian and Arabic.
  • Employment Assistance Services— The SSCC can refer individuals to job training institutions as well as help them find employment opportunities.
