SSCC FAMILY
Support Groups – Counseling and
support are offered for individuals and families newly arrived from the war-torn
regions of South Sudan.
Parent Volunteer Opportunities – Parents
can volunteer to assist tutors and other
instructors at the SSCC After-School Program.
Health Education – The SSCC provides
information on health issues, such as children’s nutrition, immunizations, and tobacco health-risks.
Housing Services Referrals – Refugee
families can receive referrals to Housing
Assistance from the SSCC.
Education — English as a Second Language, (ESL), instruction is available
for all ages.
OTHER SUPPORT OFFERED BY SSCC
Translation and Interpretation –
Language assistance is available for
Nuer, Dinka, Bari, Nubian and Arabic.
Employment Assistance Services— The
SSCC can refer individuals to job training
institutions as well as help them find employment opportunities.
